About the Role
The Automation Controls Engineer will provide a leading role in the planning, building, troubleshooting, and maintaining of all automated special machines within the facility. They will work with various departments and individuals to meet production needs, and guide and mentor lower-level technicians.
Job Duties
- Plan, build, troubleshoot, and maintain automated special machines
- Work with various departments to meet production needs
- Guide and mentor lower-level technicians
- Design complete machine controls systems from scratch
- Create electrical drawings and design safety circuits
- Create PLC programs and robot programs
- Set up vision cameras and servo drive motors
Requirements
- Minimum of five years' experience designing, building, and programming automated special machines
- Experience and knowledge to design a complete machine controls system from scratch
- Demonstrated PLC experience with Siemens TIA Portal (preferred) or Allen Bradley RSLogix 500
- Cognex Insight experience
- AutoCAD Electrical experience
- Desire to learn and embrace new technologies
